About GoStartr
GoStartr is the sales overlay for your CRM. It sits on top of the system you already run, answers every inbound lead in under a minute, works the follow-up you keep meaning to do, and hands you a warm conversation to close. It is built and operated by Avolvia (Pty) Ltd, trading as GoStartr.
Who runs it
Bruce Steyn is the founder. He has spent six years building and running sales operations, and the systems he has designed and led have generated more than $200 million in sales for clients across four countries and nine industries. GoStartr is the productised version of the machine he used to build by hand for each of those businesses.

We are registered in South Africa and we serve clients in the United States and beyond. Pricing on this site is in US dollars. If it matters to you where the people working your leads are sitting, ask us on the first call and we will tell you plainly.
What we actually sell
One thing, in three parts. We are not a CRM and we will not ask you to replace yours.
- Instant response. Every inbound lead gets a real reply in under a minute, at any hour, before a human is involved.
- Follow-up that runs itself. The second, third and fifth touches go out on schedule, in your words, and stop the moment the person replies.
- Coaching from your own calls. We show you where the conversation went wrong using your recordings, not a generic script.
If you send fewer than about thirty leads a month, you do not need us yet. Calendar reminders and discipline will beat any software at that volume, and we would rather tell you that than take the money.
Why it exists
Bruce is a sales trainer first. The pattern that turned into this product showed up in room after room: teams that knew exactly what to do, could recite it back on the Friday, and were doing none of it by the following Wednesday. Not because they were lazy. Because the phone rang while they were on a job, the quote went out at nine at night, and the follow-up competed with billable work and lost every single time.
You cannot train your way out of a structural problem. If the first response depends on whether someone's hands are free, no amount of coaching fixes it. So the training got a mechanism underneath it, and the mechanism is what we sell now. The teaching is still the point. The software is what makes the teaching survive a busy week.
What we will not do
We do not do AI outbound calling. Our voice agent answers people who contacted you first: they called your number, or they filled in your form and asked to hear from you. It never dials someone who never raised a hand, and it never pretends to be a person.
That is a deliberate line and we would rather say it out loud than hide it. Machine-dialing strangers carries real legal exposure in the United States, the market is visibly turning against it, and it is not the business we want. If you need outbound at volume, hire a human and give them a proper list. We will help you coach that human.
The same standard applies to messaging. Anything we send by text goes only to people who gave you their number, identifies the business, carries an opt-out, and honors a stop request the same day.
Who this is wrong for
- Under thirty leads a month. Your head is a better system than our software at that volume. Come back when the phone gets busier.
- A lead problem, not a follow-up problem. If you answer fast and still lose, the issue is your offer, your price or your quote turnaround. We will tell you that on the first call rather than sell you a layer that cannot fix it.
- Nobody to own it. This is not set and forget. A person has to look at the leads that never reached a human. If that person does not exist, the tool becomes an expensive answering machine.
- You want a new CRM. We are not one and we will not replace yours. We sit above it and write back to it.
What you can hold us to
Three commitments, and you can quote them back at us.
- Every statistic on this site names its source in the sentence, with a link you can open. If we cannot find the original study behind a famous sales number, we do not print the number.
- We will tell you when not to buy. Several pages on this site do exactly that, on purpose.
- You talk to a person before you pay anything, and that person is generally the founder.
How we work
We publish what we know. Every article on this site names its sources in the sentence, and when a widely repeated sales statistic has no traceable original study, we say so rather than repeat it. If you find a number on this site you cannot verify, email us and we will either evidence it or remove it.
